As a nonprofit Chinese language school, Tzu Chi Academy is dedicated to teaching Chinese language and culture while emphasizing humanistic studies based on Jing-Si Aphorisms. Our objective is for this linguistic and cultural experience to build students’ confidence and proficiency in communication through a vital world language, while nurturing a humanitarian spirit of gratitude, respect, and love toward all living beings.
COURSE OVERVIEW
Class Time: Saturday, 9:00 AM – 11:50 AM
Fall Semester: 9/20/2025 – 12/13/2025 (12 weeks)
Spring Semester: 1/10/2026 – 6/6/2026 (18 weeks)
CURRICULUM
I. Chinese Curriculum: We use the Let’s Learn Mandarin textbook, a complete language learning tool specially designed to introduce young children to the basic sounds, words, characters and phrases of Mandarin Chinese in a fun and interactive way.
II. Character Education: Grounded in the Tzu Chi humanistic curriculum and Jing-Si Aphorisms, we aim to instill core human values and foster strong moral character in our students through real-life experiences.
ELIGIBILITY
Students must be at least 4 years old to enroll.
REQUIREMENT
Uniform: Students are required to wear Tzu Chi Academy uniforms during the class, which can be purchased at the beginning of the school year.
TUITON
$580 per year (for 30 weeks) per student.
For siblings from the same family, the tuition decreases by $20 for each additional student:
$560 for the second student and $540 for the third, based on the same surname and address.
一、教學宗旨：慈濟人文學校的課程多元化，不僅教授中文，更融入活潑的靜思語教學和慈濟人文課程，提供孩子全方位的人本教育，教導學生日常生活倫理觀念及為人處事的原則，學習知足、感恩、善解及包容。期盼孩子們在大愛滋潤下成長，在感恩環境中茁壯，成為未來社會的清流砥柱。
二、教學內容：1) 中文課程：以《學華語向前走》教材為主，運用活潑的上課方式，以達增進學生中文的聽、說、讀、寫能力。
2) 品德教育：除了教好中文外，更在每週課程中，融入「靜思語」為主幹延展的品格教育，透由「體驗、講述故事、省思、靜思與生活實踐」五段式教學法，引導學生瞭解靜思語的意義，並將意義內化為個人的想法，進而落實在日常生活中，讓孩子從靜思語中學習正確的人生價值與人文品格。
3) 人文薰習：包括慈濟歌選教唱、手語、美勞、書法、花道、茶道 、環保……等課程，涵養藝術人文氣息。
三、註冊條件
入學年齡：凡當年滿四歲以上均歡迎報名。
制服：學生在上課時必須穿校服。開學後可向學校購買。

五、費 用
學 費：每位 $580（全學年，共30週），來自同一家庭的學童，第二位優惠為$560，第三位$540，第四位$520元，依姓氏及居住地址判定。
制服費：夏季制服（短袖上衣）$20、冬季制服（長袖上衣）$30，冬、夏季制服同時合購優惠 $45。
