Tzu Chi Academy

With nearly three decades of proven success, Tzu Chi Academy in Canada has earned trust and so much positive feedback from students, parents, guardians and volunteers. At Tzu Chi Academy, we not only teach students about the Chinese language and culture, but also have a unique focus on the practice of joyous giving by showing sincere compassion.

Dharma Master Cheng Yen, the founder of Tzu Chi, firmly believes in instilling moral values and character in children to guide them toward a wholesome and promising future. Guided by this belief, Tzu Chi Academy is dedicated to building students’ confidence and communication skills in a significant world language while nurturing respect, love, and care for all living beings.

COURSE OVERVIEW

Class Time: Saturday, 9:00 AM – 11:50 AM

Fall Semester: 9/20/2025 – 12/13/2025 (12 weeks)
Spring Semester: 1/10/2026 – 5/30/2026 (18 weeks)

CURRICULUM

I. Chinese Curriculum: We use the Let’s Learn Mandarin textbook, a complete language learning tool specially designed to introduce young children to the basic sounds, words, characters and phrases of Mandarin Chinese in a fun and interactive way.
II. Character Education: Grounded in the Tzu Chi humanistic curriculum and Jing-Si Aphorisms, we aim to instill core human values and foster strong moral character in our students through real-life experiences.

ELIGIBILITY

Students must be at least 4 years old to enroll. 

REQUIREMENT

Uniform: Students are required to wear Tzu Chi Academy uniforms during the class, which can be purchased at the beginning of the school year.

TUITON

$520 per student for the entire 30-week school year.
For siblings from the same family, the tuition decreases by $20 for each additional student: $500 for the second student and $480 for the third, based on the same surname and address.
