In celebration of Halloween, the Tzu Chi Academy, Montreal hosted a delightful event where education met entertainment, perfectly blending the warmth of crafting with the joy of language.
Our festivities began with the “Creative Hands” workshop, where students crafted their own spooky finger cookies. The room was filled with the warmth of their concentration and the pure delight of bringing their imaginative ideas to life.
Next, in our Mandarin class, the learning journey continued as teachers introduced students to fun Halloween vocabulary. Laughter filled the air as culture and knowledge became a natural part of the lesson.
The highlight of the day was the “Speak Kind Words” trick-or-treat game! It was a chance for students to put their new skills to use, encouraging them to speak Mandarin with courage and to discover the values of gratitude and sharing through joyful interaction.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all the volunteers whose dedication and support made this event a resounding success and helped document its precious moments. The sound of children’s laughter and the high praise from parents are truly the greatest Halloween treats we could have asked for.
