On November 8, 2025, marking the start of winter (Lidong), the Tzu Chi Richmond Office held a winter aid distribution event at the Salvation Army shelter. This year’s event introduced new elements—in addition to providing supplies, it also offered warm vegetarian meals and free professional haircut services. Volunteers led a sign language performance of the song “One Family,” creating heartfelt interactions with the residents. The event not only provided tangible assistance but also conveyed respect and care, allowing 32 residents to feel the warmth and love of family on the eve of winter.
