FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tzu Chi Foundation Canada, Tzu Chi University (Taiwan), the University of British Columbia, the University of Victoria, and the World Chinese Language Association will jointly host the “North American Chinese Language Teachers’ Workshop” on July 12, 2024, to enhance professional development in Chinese language teaching.

This online workshop will feature several experienced educators sharing innovative teaching strategies across four main themes: integrating performing arts into the Chinese curriculum, guided discovery learning, emotional and language education, and life education in Chinese character instruction.

The event will be held online from 9:00 AM to 5:10 PM Pacific Time. The registration fee is $20 CAD. Participants who attend the entire workshop will receive a certificate of completion. Eligible teachers from Tzu Chi Academy may apply for a full fee subsidy.

The workshop provides a professional exchange platform for Chinese language teachers. Educators from all backgrounds are welcome to register.
