Tzu Chi Academy was first established in Toronto, Ontario, and Richmond, British Columbia, in 1997 with a unique focus on teaching students about not only the Chinese language and culture, but also the practice of joyous giving by showing sincere compassion.

Professional instructors at the Tzu Chi Academy incorporate the Chinese language and culture through interactive and fun lessons.

Classes are available for both beginners and those with an intermediate level of proficiency. Our goal is for this linguistic and cultural experience to build the student’s confidence and proficiency in communication through a significant world language, and to cultivate respect, love, and caring, toward all living beings.

1997年慈濟分別在加拿大多倫多與列治文成立了加東和加西的第一所人文學校，創校至今，全加共有十所學校。
慈濟人文學校的校訓為「慈悲喜捨」，以此精神啟發孩子本具的良知和良能。透過人文藝術的涵養，培養孩子懂得感恩、尊重、愛。

人文學校的課程多元化，不僅教授中文和才藝課程，更融入活潑的靜思語教學和慈濟人文課程，提供孩子全方位的人本教育。
